An aerial photo of the Ed Lee House and Farm, probably dated in the
30s when there were small companies that toured the country photographing
homes and farms and selling the results to the proud owners. The original
of this copy is about 3mX1.5m, a panoramic view of the Ed Lee Farm,
now in the keeping of his grandson, Elmer Lee.
The Ed Lee House was built about 1885, to house Ed Lee, his wife, Martha
(Pollard) Lee and their two sons and six daughters. Martha died when
the sixth daughter was born and Ed hired as housekeeper and later married,
Mary Patterson, a widow from Nanaimo, who had a son William Patterson,
later of Pattersons Store, Beaver Point and Fulford, and Polly,
who married Daniel Henry Ruckle.
