James Seed Company at Barnsbury Farm (SSI)
"This was thrashing pea seed at Barnsbury. The thrashing machine and other big equipment was motored off a belt run by the small Beaman tractor, otherwise used for cultivating. There's an interesting little story here. The commercial belting was manufactured by the Linton belt company in Toronto, and in later years, Fred James married one of the Linton daughters. I think it was not all business in Toronto!
" Mary Hogg (née James)
