It was owned by the Kingdoms in the 1930s for sure, and maybe earlier as well as later. Owned later by Mary Hawkins (remembered for her association with our library in Ganges) and her husband, who later sold it to the Claus Andress family who made additions and alterations to it in 1975-6. They in turn sold it to Ian and Catherine Drost in 2003 when they retired here from West Vancouver. After living in it for a year while planning alterations to it, they decided it was better to demolish it and build a competely new one.
The original house was “demolished” by the SSI Fire Dept. burning it down for practice fighting a house fire

Either this and/or the property next door to the south was/were owned by the St. Denis family at least in the 1930s and into the 1950s (perhaps earlier and later). Mr. St. Denis was our roads foreman for most of that period.
